Today is my dearest friend Erin's birthday.
Whenever the two of us get together,
it tends to look something like this:

Besides making me smile,
Erin is the kind of friend who really truly listens
& always knows what to say
{or what not to say}.
It's quite remarkable.
Whenever I call her to moan & groan about
this,
that,
or the other,
she always cheers me up
& I hang up the phone with a smile on my face.

I don`t get to see Erin on her birthday, since
she`s in Canada & I`m in France,
(le sigh)
but I`m going to pretend that today we`re celebrating together,
eating birthday cake
