The weather this first weekend of April was stupendously amazing.
It was 25 degrees & gorgeous with not a cloud in the sky.
Naturellement, we spent most of our time outside.
Saturday we packed a picnic lunch & took a loooooooong walk.
We started in Menthon Saint Bernard,
one of the towns along the lake not far from Annecy.
We went though villages & woods,
then climbed up & up to the
which is a large chapel/small church
{take your pick}
perched in the hills high above the lake.
Everything was so darn scenic
that it was hard to choose only ten photos for this post.
And that blue sky? Wow. That's all.
Part of our walk took us past this extremely picturesque golf course.
This dog was just hanging out in the sun
in one of the villages we wandered through.
We shared the road with some horsey types.
It was beautiful to see all the para-gliders
floating down from the mountain.
Our destination: the Hermitage de Saint Germain. Look at that view!
What's not to love about tree shadows?
Moi, looking happy that the trek back is all downhill.
A well-deserved drink at the end of our hike.
The Impérial Palace, a fancy-dancy hotel/casino in Annecy where we went out to brunch on Sunday.
After-brunch petit café... & macaron au chocolat.
I know I posted a similar photo in last week's weekend scenes,
but I just couldn't resist.
I'm a sucker for teeny porcelain cups I guess!
Wow. What an amazing weekend! WOW.
ReplyDeleteVery I like tree shadow.
ReplyDeleteWow, can I please have that dog's life?
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are absolutely gorgeous. You're giving me the itch to book a trip back to France real soon! Glad to see you're enjoying the lovely spring weather!
Okay, I'm back. Because did you say TWENTY FIVE DEGREES? Seriously? So unfair. It was about 9 degrees here. With a steady drizzle.
ReplyDeleteYou are right my dear, kindred spirits indeed! Also, I can't get over the glorious blue sky in all of these.
