C'est l'Halloween!

So the French aren't that big on Halloween,
but luckily Juliette has a super-cool auntie
to help her make one of the best (OK, one of the few) Jack O'Lanterns on the block.

We had an authentic pumpkin to carve, thanks to my father-in-law
& some seeds he smuggled back to France from New York:
I'm pretty sure the pumpkin weighed more than Juliette.

FQ was on-hand to do the dangerous stuff:
Pumpkin guts!
We decided to make a scary Jack O'Lantern.
Juliette took it all very seriously.
She drew a sketch before we started carving & took her time to make sure it was just right.

We were pretty happy with the results:
Boo!!!
Those fancy-drink parasols?  All my niece's idea.

  1. That is one fantastic pumpkin! And how great that it's wearing several little paper parasols...

Isn't Juliette lucky to have an aunt as awesome as you?
