Lights! Snow! Wow!

Yesterday was a bit of a disaster, right?

But it ended up on a much better note than it started.

Before dinner, it actually stopped snowing.

FQ & I decided to make the most of of the quiet streets, 

the cold, clear evening

& the piles of snow everywhere.  

We walked down to the lake & along the water to the old town.

After a few minutes of admiring the Christmas lights

& the snow on the rooftops, 

we were about to head home.

When suddenly, what to our wondering eyes should appear,

but an amazing sound & light show 

projected onto Annecy's Hôtel de Ville (City Hall).  

It went on for about 15 minutes & was incredible.

I'd never seen anything quite like it.  

I have a feeling we'll be wandering down there quite a few times over the next few weeks.
